Nexa Advisory Submission to AER Community Battery Class Waiver
Nexa Advisory, with input from the Yarra Energy Foundation, submits a proposal to the AER’s Initiation notice regarding the Ring-fencing class waiver for Community Batteries funded by the Commonwealth Government’s Community Batteries for Household Solar Program.
While acknowledging the crucial role of Distribution Network Service Providers (DNSPs) in community battery projects, Nexa Advisory supports the AER’s streamlined waiver process for DNSP-owned batteries. Nexa Advisory cautions against applying a class waiver at this early stage of the community battery market, as it could set an unfavorable precedent with unintended consequences. Nexa Advisory aims to drive sustainable energy solutions and invites stakeholders to join their efforts in shaping a cleaner and more resilient energy future.
