Nexa Advisory submission – Enhancing the ISP to support the energy transition

Nexa Advisory are pleased to share our recent submission to the Australian Energy Market Commission’s (AEMC) consultation paper, for three rule change requests to enhance the ISP (ERC0395).

The rule change requests seek to improve the robustness of the ISP by reflecting gas market analysis, improved consideration of demand-side factors, and community sentiment. While we appreciate the effort to improve the robustness of this modelling, there is far greater benefit to improving the deliverability of the roadmap.

While the robustness of the ISP is critical to supporting market confidence, we consider the benefits of the proposed rule changes are marginal when compared with the benefits of removing the roadblocks and uncertainty around delivery.
